1. What we collect, and why

When you reserve seats we collect: your name, email, and phone; the name and dietary needs of each guest in your party; accessibility needs; seating preferences; and, if you choose to tell us, which nonprofit brought you to the evening. We use this for exactly what you’d expect — running the event: your confirmation, the guest list at the door, the caterer’s dietary list, seating, and thanking the partner organizations that filled the room.

2. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number never touches our servers, and we cannot see or store it. Stripe’s handling of your data is described in Stripe’s privacy policy.

3. Who else touches the data

We use a small set of service providers to run the site, each receiving only what they need: Stripe (payments), Resend (transactional email such as your confirmation), Neon (our database), and Netlify (website hosting). We do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to marketing lists you didn’t ask for. Guest-list details (names, dietary needs) are shared with the venue and caterer as needed to serve you at the event.

4. Cookies

The public site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. A single session cookie is used only for administrators signing in to manage the event. Your in-progress reservation is kept in your own browser’s storage until you finish or leave.

5. Retention

We keep reservation records through the event and for a reasonable period afterward for accounting and to invite past guests to future evenings, then delete or anonymize them. You can shortcut that at any time — see below.

6. Your choices

Email hello@unshatterednight.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted (we’ll retain what the law requires us to keep, such as payment records). We honor these requests regardless of where you live.

7. Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date. Questions belong at hello@unshatterednight.com — a person reads that inbox.
